Has your appetite been calling for something lately? Are you experiencing hunger pains? Is there an obvious growling from within crying out for satisfaction and fulfillment? If so, there's an entree for your hunger. There are many appetites lingering within us and they all fall under one or two categories. One category is known as the natural (the flesh), and the other is known as the spiritual. When our natural cravings are dominant, we usually desire (food, sex, drugs, money, etc.) something that will supply a quick fix or a temporary satisfaction. And fortunately some of the temporary things we crave for are necessary, but unfortunately many are not. The many cravings that are not, usually deal with the

lust of the flesh (a lust for physical pleasure), the lust of the eyes (a lusting for everything you see), and the pride of life (a prideful attitude towards yourself and your material possessions), (1 John 2: 16). And these natural cravings if not controlled, will be the ones that take us and keep us off the course of living a full and abundant life. But instead, they'll lead us into a life of misery and destruction; and without a doubt leave us unfulfilled and hungry. That is why it is so important for us not to cater to, but suppress and restrain our natural cravings, and avoid indulgence in appetites, which have no positive long lasting satisfaction. Now there are our spiritual cravings, the cravings that do not long for the material or external things in life, but for the spiritual internal things, which do offer fulfillment and complete satisfaction. Our spiritual cravings are very important, and we must not confuse them with our natural desires. It is imperative that we distinguish between the two, because if we don't, we risk the chance of failing at meeting our own necessary needs. Therefore knowing and recognizing the difference, is very crucial. And it's crucial simply because our spiritual hunger can never be satisfied with natural means, and if we attempt  to do so, we'll be spiritually malnourished and in a desperate state of starvation. Therefore daily, our spirit man should be feed with spiritual food which comes from the Word of God, and from God Himself. The Gospel according to Luke says, "blessed are ye who hunger for ye shall be filled" (Luke 6:21), and (Matthew 5:6) says, "blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled". Now perhaps, you're asking, filled with what? And the answer is clear. It is Jesus. That's right, Jesus is the entree that fulfills our spiritual hunger.  Jesus has told us in the word of God, "He is the bread of life and anyone who partakes of Him shall never hunger; and anyone who believeth on Him shall never thirst again" (John 6:35) . Praise the Lord! So here you have it, the entree you've been craving  for, Jesus Christ. He's the one who fills our spiritual hunger and brings a deeper everlasting satisfaction. So please without any further delay go ahead, taste and see that He is good.
